This is a wedding invitation I got commissioned to do. After talking to the client I drew up some different moodboards showing different directions we could go. The client chose the sketchier option but she wanted to add a coloured background.
With some rough sketches the client and I settled that the illustration would picture a still life of a table with drinks, cake, candles and different little things that could belong on a dinner table during a wedding. I wanted the image to conveying a romantic, fun and relaxed atmosphere.
I did some different typographic options and settled on a handwritten headline to tie the hand drawn illustration.
